In March 2017, over 50 NRIs from three continents will embark on a charity bike ride to raise funds for marginalized women & children at Kamathipura in Mumbai. This cycling event will be from 5th March until 7th March 2017. The riders will cover around 350 kms between the Bhuj Mandir to Ahmedabad Mandir. The mandir-2-mandir initiative is taken by AAWC's UK based well-wishers and a group of generous young people.
Apne Aap Women's Collective (AAWC) participated in the 13th edition of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon and we were fortunate to be supported by corporate partner Raheja Universal as well as various runners who ardently ran for our cause.
March 2015 was an exciting month at AAWC as we saw the commencement of our pilot project of the Beautician Training Program for the Umeed women. The beautician training program aims to train women in brothel-based prostitution to learn and develop fine skills to work in a beauty parlor. 21 women registered for the course.

AAWC has introduced our upcoming new program: "Nurture 75 Vulnerable Children in the Red Light Area" on GlobalGiving in November which will provide a day-care and night shelter facility for toddlers from the age of 2 to 5 years.
